Interestingly Stanmer House has a link with Pelham House in Lewes as it has been owned by the Pelham family in the past.

Recently it has had a chequered history until leased from the council by a local company and restored to its former glory.  Today it can be classed as one of the leading wedding venues in Brighton if not Sussex, hosting weddings as well as conferences and events from the small scale up to those with 300 or more guests.  The venue is a superb one with an great variety of locations in which to be photographed, there are also extensive grounds with a unique and charming Sussex village very close by.
